I have been appointed to handle the Guild bank until we find someone who wants to volunteer and get approved.
What we should look to avoid is having the entire bank clogged with low-level items and items generated through leveling crafting professions. It is fine to put items you are crafting for Cataclysm, but these items may be grabbed and disenchanted for mats or sold if they are worth auction.
If you put something in the GB, it may disappear. Do not put anything you want to keep in the GB. The GB is not your temporary storage.
We'll also be looking at keeping repairs off unless raiding at least until we have a pile of gold. This might change if the new guild perk, Cash Flow, generates a good amount of gold.
I want to keep GB access as open as possible, but we have had problems where massive amounts of mats have been consumed and no guild gain has surfaced. If we have this problem again, GB access will become very restricted.
I apologize if this is a bummer.
